ABOUT LAURENT PROULX
Laurent Proulx joined PROCURE as President and CEO in 2013. He is the co-founder of NStein Technologies, where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer until 2008. After being diagnosed with prostate cancer at the age of 48, Laurent conceived, designed, and organized the PROCURE Tour of Courage. Since its inaugural edition in 2010, this three-stage cycling event alone has raised more than $4 million for prostate cancer research and support.
On June 20, 2010, PROCURE honoured Mr. Proulx with the Founding President’s Laureate for his outstanding contributions to the organization’s activities. Shortly thereafter, on June 28, 2010, the media recognized his fighting spirit and unwavering commitment by naming him Personality of the Week for La Presse and Radio-Canada. Just a year after his surgery, this determined triathlete successfully completed the Ironman Arizona in November 2010.
In 2015, Laurent took on an even more extreme challenge by completing the Norseman Ironman, one of the toughest Ironman events in the world, to celebrate his remission from cancer, six years after his diagnosis.
